Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Account data: your name, email, and a hashed password (or your Google account email and name if you sign in with Google — we never see your Google password).

Usage data: the properties you look up and track, the reports generated for you, and your purchases.

Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe. We store only order references and payment status — never card numbers.

2. What we do with it

We use your data to run the product: generating reports, re-checking your tracked properties daily, sending change alerts to your in-app feed, and processing purchases. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties except the processors that run the service (hosting, database, payments, authentication).

3. Property data

The permit, job, violation, and complaint records in our reports are public government records published by New York City agencies. They describe properties, not you, and appear in your reports as published by the city.

4. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and, if you use Google sign-in, our authentication provider sets its own session cookies. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Processors

Vercel (hosting), Neon (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), and Google (optional sign-in). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. Request account deletion through the contact form (from your account, so we can verify you); we will remove your personal data within 30 days, retaining only what payment regulations require Stripe-side.
